Lucasfilm Releases Four New Mostly-Finished Episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars

By Dave Bouressa

UPDATE: Due to multiple links on under different names previously linking to the same episode, it has been brought to my attention that FOUR episodes, not THREE (as previous reported) have been released to Links are now working and corrections have been made. HOWEVER, for whatever reason, "The Big Bang" does not appear to work for mobil devices, instead only providing a promo for the Star Wars: Commander mobile game.

After a week of teasing and speculation, Dave Filoni and his team have finally come out and revealed the surprise about the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars which was unfortunately cancelled before the sixth season was aired, and only allowed time to finish production on half of the episodes, which premiered as a Netflix exclusive.

The majority of speculation focused on the remainder of the episodes be revealed on Netflix or, and the ones who believed that were half-right.

Four new episodes have emerged on, under the title "Star Wars: The Clone Wars Legacy".

The episodes are completely watchable with full sound and voice acting, with partially completed lighting an animation. All you have to do is pretend you're watching a cutscene from a Nintendo 64 console, and you'll be right back in that galaxy far, far, away...

Links have been provided below to direct you to the episodes. The episode titles and synopsis are as follows:

-A Death on Utapau: Obi-wan and Anakin investigate a mysterious death of a Jedi Master on Utapau, and uncover a secret Separatist weapons deal the likes of which they have never seen before.

-In Search of the Crystal: Obi-wan and Anakin's investigation on Utapau continues, and they allow themselves to be captured by weapons dealers who possess a focusing crystal of unspeakable power.

-Crystal Crisis: Obi-wan and Anakin must escape from Utapau with a kyber crystal before General Grievous and his droid army track them down.

-The Big Bang: Obi-Wan and Anakin must do all they can to prevent a powerful weapon from falling into General Grievous' hands. (This episode, for whatever reason, does not seem to work for mobile devices, but works on a computer just fine)

The episodes can be seen here at with concept art for the episodes, along with episodes that had not made it this far in production and will find their voice through other mediums via comics or novels.

As a series that truly was some of the best Star Wars since 1983, it is a joy to see it with such a joyous send-off. What is even more promising is the fact that half the team that worked on this series is working on the new Star Wars television series, Star Wars: Rebels, set to premiere in just a week on Disney Channel and Disney XD.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars can be seen on Netflix and iTunes.

Could We Be Getting More 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars" Episodes?

By Dave Bouressa

Within the past 24 hours, multiple Star Wars fansites have hinted at something big happening later on this week regarding the hit series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, that was cancelled after its fifth season, with half of a sixth season released exclusively on Netflix and eventually iTunes, dubbed "The Lost Missions".

However, the word going around seems to be that Netflix is going to be surprising us with the second half of Season 6 of the series, which is unlikely because when the show was "cancelled", the remainder of the season was still in early development, with the first half only being allowed to air because they required minimal, if any, work. Other rumors are stating that the new episodes will be released on, while others are claiming that there are no new episodes-but the news will be a blu-ray/DVD release date for the sixth season.

Nobody is quite sure what is happening, but we do know that it's happening very, very soon. We'll be keeping a close eye on things, but until then, speculation is half the fun. Either way, with Star Wars Episode VII premiering in just over a year, and Star Wars: Rebels hitting television in less than a week, adding more Clone Wars just proves that there has never been a better time to be a Star Wars fan.

The 'Deadpool' Movie is Officially Happening, Going for 2016 Release Date

By Dave Bouressa

Back in July, some test footage for a possible Deadpool movie hit the internet, which was met with incredible response. Whether or not the footage was actually "leaked" or was all staged to gauge audience reaction is still up for debate, but Fox executives have gotten the message, and the long-awaited Deadpool movie is officially happening.

Much like the released clip, the Marvel anti-hero will be played by Ryan Reynolds, and Reynolds comments about the clip "leak" are certainly promising.

"The movie has been in a state of limbo for a while. There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, 'Oh, so we weren't crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.' It's interesting to see the power of the Internet. It's awe-inspiring, actually," Reynolds told the Niagara Falls Review. "And it's neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way."

Executives have come out with a release date of February 12th, 2016- meaning that, assuming work has not already been done, filming for the movie would begin sometime early 2015.

For years, people have been asking for a Deadpool movie, and Fox would never allow an "R" rated character for a film because that would cut out a large portion of the audience demographic, but all it took for the right minds to be changed was less than two minutes of footage and the internet doing what it does best.

Good job internet.

Deadpool will be hitting our theaters February 12th, 2016.

Lucasfilm Officially Unveils Episode VII Millennium Falcon... With a Special Surprise

By Dave Bouressa

Ever since San Diego Comic Con, J.J. Abrams, director of the upcoming Star Wars film, and Zack Snyder, director of the upcoming Batman VS Superman film, have been constantly joking with each other via social media through various mash-up picture, including Superman actor, Henry Cavill, in Sith uniform, to C-3PO in a Batman outfit, to a Stormtrooper "stealing" the batmobile, and many more, with each director trying to out-do the other.

However, Abrams has brought the game to a whole new level- this time, "officially" revealing a close-up of the Millennium Falcon to be used in Star Wars: Episode VII. Simply showing off the fancy new ship isn't enough for Abrams, because it appears the Falcon has picked up a stow-away.

After this incredible reveal, fans seem to have only three words to say: Your move, Snyder.

Star Wars Episode VII comes out December 18, 2015 and Batman VS Superman comes out March 25, 2016.

You Can Now Text Groot From "Guardians of the Galaxy"

By Dave Bouressa

According to a report by, Groot, the lovable,"vocabulisticly challenged" fan-favorite tree from Marvel's latest surprise hit, Guardians of the Galaxy, can now be added to your phone's contacts for a lovely text message and have a conversation with him. However, be prepared for some not-so-engaging conversation.

Developer Ricky Robinett has developed a "chat bot" that users can text to talk to Groot, and have him respond. However, in the words of Rocket Raccoon, "Well, he don't know talking good like me and you, so his vocabulistics is limited to 'I and Am, and Groot-exclusively in that order".

The number you can text to talk to Groot is (866) 740-4531. Although this is not an "official" program from Marvel, Director of Guardians of the Galaxy James Gunn, has shared it on Twitter, giving it his blessing.

On a side note, if you haven't already seen Guardians of the Galaxy 500 times, you need to fix this. I'm sure the ushers won't mind if you text the star of the movie while the movie's playing.

R2-D2 and C-3PO Star in New "Star Wars: Rebels" Promo

By Dave Bouressa

Star Wars: Rebels is right around the corner, and with it comes all new TV spots shown on Disney Channel and Disney XD. A new spot has aired recently focusing on the characters we all know and love, and who have been the heart and soul of the Star Wars franchise since 1977, R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Many have speculated on whether or not the famous droid duo would be appearing, but now the question is how much input or screen time they will have. The focus of the series seems to be centered around our new group of renegades: Kanan, Hera, Sabine, Zeb, Ezra and their astromech droid named Chopper, so the chances are high that R2 and 3PO will be making no more than a casual cameo in a single episode.

For those who have followed Star Wars: The Clone Wars since 2008, you will notice that R2-D2 and C-3PO look considerably different from their Star Wars: Rebels counterparts.

Aside from the obvious differences in animation style choices, Star Wars: Rebels seems to be going more towards a film-accurate portrayal, which is ironic since Star Wars: The Clone Wars was perhaps the most cinematic animated series on television, and hopefully Rebels will follow in its footsteps.

For those skeptical of the new series by Disney and Lucasfilm, check out the 3-minute short that was released that conveys how true to the Star Wars name Rebels is staying, and from everything we've seen so far of the upcoming series, it is sure to be a dream come true for both Star Wars fans young and old.

Star Wars: Rebels premieres October 3rd on Disney Channel with an hour long special followed by a full series on Disney XD.

"Sesame Street" Journeys to a Galaxy Far, Far, Away with Hilarious "Star Wars" Parody

By Dave Bouressa

In what is sure to be one of Sesame Street's finest parodies, the long-running children's show tackles the topic of "self-control" by dipping its toes into the Star Wars franchise.

Join the adventures of Luke Pie-walker, Princess Parfaita, Flan Solo, Chewy the Cookie, and Only-One Canoli, as they face Darth Baker and the evil empire.

This video is simply five minutes of genuine fun, from the glorious puns, to the fact that Grover plays Yoda (who were both originally voiced by Frank Oz), to the incredible writing and performing. There is no age too young to introduce your kids to Star Wars, and to mix it with Sesame Street is sure to either give nostalgia to older fans, or help kids "take their first step into a larger world".

So, whether you are five or one hundred and five, this video is sure to put a smile on your face.

Teen Titans Returning to Television in Live Action Series

By Dave Bouressa

Gone are the days of the kick-ass, serious, super hero shows on Cartoon Network, watching the Teen Titans fight bad guys on a weekly basis, replaced by goofier, more stylized, comedic counterparts. However, the Teen Titans may be coming back to a more "adult" series in a way they have never been seen before-in live action!

A new report from the Wall Street Journal lays out the plans for the upcoming series.

Warner Bros., which owns DC Comics, is developing a“Titans” television series and is in talks with cable network TNT to air it, knowledgeable people confirmed. Warner Bros. and TNT are both owned by Time Warner Inc.
The television series would more closely resemble a popular 1980s comic called “New Titans.” It featured a 20-something version of Robin who changed his moniker to Nightwing, as well as the new heroes Starfire, Raven and Cyborg.
Akiva Goldsman, who wrote “A Beautiful Mind,” “The Da Vinci Code,” and 1990s superhero sequels “Batman Forever” and “Batman & Robin,” is writing the “Titans” pilot, along with Marc Haimes.

The news of this was confirmed when Goldsman posted a link to the article on Twitter. Fans of the series will also notice a familiar name missing from the line-up above: Beast Boy. Could the green shape-shifting, animal-loving goofball be too expensive to produce for a television series of this style? Could he be replaced by characters such as Superboy, Aqualad, or any other teenage DC "side-kick"? There are plenty to choose from. Only time will tell.

Titans will be the next line in DC's ever growing presence in television, following Flash, Gotham, and an upcoming Constantine series. The series is currently in talks with the TNT network. No release date has been given at this time, and whether or not the series will actually make it to airwaves is still to be determined.

Marvel Releases 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 2 Teaser

By Dave Bouressa

After a first season consisting of a slow start and powerful finish, Agent (now Director) Phil Coulson and his team are back again for another season, but this time, things are a bit different. Hydra, the nazi sub-group, has been eliminated from the inner workings of S.H.I.E.L.D, but managed to take as much down with it as it possibly could. S.H.I.E.L.D. barely exists anymore, Nick Fury has gone off the radar, Agent Ward is in jail and mystery still surrounds Skye and her origins.

However, things look they will certainly be taking a darker turn this season. Check out the first official teaser for the upcoming season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"This is a make or break moment. The enemy has the advantage, but we have to fight on for those we've lost so the sacrifices they made were not made in vain. And then, we'll disappear- become ghosts. That's how we have to live now, in the shadows to protect the innocent and save lives...

...even when they don't know it..."

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC Tuesday September 23rd at 9pm.
