Possible Female Doctor Doom in 'Fantastic Four' Reboot?

By Dave Bouressa

After two failed attempts at bringing the Fantastic Four to the cinematic universe, Fox is at it again to try and rebuild the franchise, and apparently things are kicking off.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the only actor to be confirmed for the upcoming film is Chronicle star, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, aka "The Human Torch".

Multiple actress have auditioned for the role of Sue Storm, aka "The Invisible Woman, including Kate Mara and Emmy Rosa, while the current runners for Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) and Ben Grimm (The Thing) are said to be Miles Teller and Christian Cook. However, what really has fans buzzing is the announcement of what Fox could possibly be doing with the confirmed villain of the film, Dr. Doom.

"The studio is likely to go for a big name and isn't ruling out switching genders for the role"

Casting is still early, and at this point, anything could change, however, a studio rarely comes public with a statement like that unless they plan to go through with it.

How do you feel about this odd change in the character, should it go through?
