Joss Whedon Gives Look Into What To Expect In Avengers 2

By Bailey Casello

Scheduled to come out in May of 2015, the sequel to the Avengers is being talked about with great anticipation. What can we expect next from Whedon? Where is this plot going to go. Well Mr. Whedon has filled us in and has hinted at a path that is much darker.

According to Following The Nerd Whedon has promised us "Death, death... and lots of death." He continues to say that "The only pressure is the pressure that is there every time I do a new project. Is it going to be good? Is it going to be different? Is there even a reason to make another one?.... You don't want to get by doing something that is merely OK. If I'm going to do dedicate three years of my short life then I want to do something that I've never done before."

We can, as fans, be certain of two things: 1) being that there shall be death, and 2) that this director is not looking to disappoint. He genuinely seems to care about the product that he is giving the fans. To me, that speaks worlds about Whedon. He, unlike a certain J.J. Abrams who wants people to think of him when they watch his movies, wants the fans to think that each movie he does is worth it, different, and something that they are happy with.

But there are a few questions going through peoples minds, who is going to get killed off? Is it one of our beloved Avengers? What can we expect from this movie? There is one thing that I know got my gears turning, will Robert Downey Jr be returning as Ironman? There were articles going around of rumors about him backing out as Ironman for Avengers 2. But they were expecting filming to do be done for the movie in the next month or 2. So who knows where that will end up going. I'm hoping the rumors aren't true. They almost don't seem to make sense at this point, but we will have to see what comes from this and whether or not Robert Downey Jr. will be showing his face as Ironman in any other possible sequels. Unleash The Fanboy
