Twilight Reboot: Another Reboot That is Sure to "Suck"

Please God no!

By Bailey Casello

To some what you are about to read is going to be terrible news. But for all the teen girls out there this is wonderful news.  I can already hear the screams that will surely fill the air, and I’m sure Stephanie Meyer has her purse sitting open waiting for the money to drop in. Just when we thought that we were in the clearing from Twilight movies, Lionsgate has announced that it is already considering re-booting ‘Twilight’.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, “They’re already discussing it internally. It will happen.” Furthermore, “It is still undecided exactly what the future of the franchise will be. It could be a direct remake… but then again it could also be a spin-off or maybe even a one-off sequel.”

I’m sorry, did you not just finish releasing the last movie of the series? Perhaps we should let this whole phase die away, and with great haste. Now I’ll be the first to admit that, yes, I have read the books and watched all the movies, but even I don’t want this to happen. I believe that they have dragged out this wet-dream of Stephanie Meyer’s quite long enough. She has received her money, and still has more coming with all the merchandise and the DVD/Blu-ray release of the last installment.

Hopefully this following statement is the truer of the two:
According to Deadline (who have allegedly contacted Lionsgate) Co-Chairman Rob Friedman says, “We are not remaking Twilight. We will happily support Stephanie Meyer if she decides to procede in any way…”

So who do we believe?

Either way, hide your kids, hide your wife, and protect them now. Hold anyone hostage that you have to. If something like this does go through I’d hate to see how much worse the already Cullen-crazed fans would get.

  1. I'd prefer them to do a complete remake of the entire movies series, but don't let the chick who directed the first Twilight film go anywhere near the remakes, she made Twilight an indie film, which is why it sucked, and cast Emily Browning as Bella and Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian From Narnia) as Edward, as for the rest of the casting choices, leave them be because I like them, they should also include Lauren Mallory because they combined her character with Jessica Stanley in the movies, as for the characters and the scenes in Twilight that weren't in the books, get rid of them too, they need to improve the soundtrack, except for Paramore and Linkin Park, they also need to improve everything else
