Arrested Development. The best show nobody watched.
Back in 2006, Arrested Development aired on FOX, but was eventually cancelled after 3 seasons due to poor viewership due to poor/lack of advertising.
However, after a massive fan push, incredible DVD sales, and a massive "post-cancellation viewership", not only is another full season coming, but an entire Arrested Development movie (as hinted in the final episode by Maeby).
Theories about this season and movie have been all over the place. First there's no movie. Then there is a movie, then there's half a season, then there are 10 episodes, then there are 14 episodes, then there is no movie again, etc. However, official details have finally been released.
The new season of Arrested Development, airing on Netflix will have 14 episodes and was said to be released May 4th 2013. The date was announced on a website owned by Fox, but the post was deleted several hours after posting. It has since been revealed by Netflix that the date is incorrect, and no current date has been stated.
Along with that post, we received episode titles.
George Sr. 1
George Sr. 2
George Michael 1
George Michael 2
Each episode will focus on each member of the Bluth family, eventually leading up to the Arrested Development film, which has no release date at this time. Several actors who had recurring roles in the original series are scheduled to reprise their roles, including Henry Winkler as Barry Zuckerkorn, Mae Whitman as Ann Veal (her?), Scott Baio as Bob Loblaw, Judy Greer as Kitty Sanchez, and Liza Minnelli as Lucille Austero, and many new characters will be introduced as well.
Most sources of this news seem to be legit, but I just hope that Netflix is not playing some kind of trick on us...oh, I'm sorry, "illusion".
